Sounds like a variation of the old arcade game, Qix. I don't know what your version was called specifically.

That sounds like most of the stuff that you're going to need to swap the motor in, but you may need engine mounts as well. I would highly suggest that you get better brakes as the brakes on the Integra LS are weak and aren't designed for 50% more power.

Usually you can adjust its sensitivity instead of just disabling it, it may just be set close to the maximum or at it and need to be toned down a little.
I can't give you step by step instructions on how to change the sensitivity as it varies from alarm to alarm, but it it's an alarm Mazda put in it I'd call them and ask.

One of my cars did something similar, just needed it's sensitivity adjusted.

That's a lot of steering play! Do you have a lot of miles on this thing?

On the older steering boxes there is an adjustment screw that can be horsed down to take up any looseness. No doubt your mechanic knows this, but it's safer for you and more profitable for him to replace the dang thing.

Then again if there is that much play, it may be beyond adjustment help.

And there's also the possibility that once the steering box is replaced, there will still
be some looseness that remains due to similar wear on tie rod ends and ball joints.
It's normal for these to need replacing every 70,000 miles or so depending on how bumpy the roads have been.

If they say to use a specific type of battery, you should use that type. They have done extensive testing before bringing it to market and have probably found that it will work better and/or longer with the correct type battery. Using a non-recommended battery will also void any warranty.

Some times the air conditioner pump starts to go bad and this will cause a squeal. It works on a clutch system. But you may want to check your tensioner pulley. Sorry don't have more without hearing it myself.

Will this be a race or just get it around the campus? If it is a race then try some recombent type of device. Like a rack and pinion type which would allow you to use more leg power to the wheels. Steering, could be as simple as a pivot point with ropes on it wrapped around a broom handle and a steering wheel to turn the pole..
